Happy NEW Year!

Happy NEW Year!

I pray that your holiday season was simply spectacular! I am fresh off of my vacation. I was blessed with PTO time AND time out of school. I took my last final and headed south to Florida to enjoy the holidays with my grands…oh, and children! 🙂

During the holidays, I not only made a lot of fun memories, but I also geared up for this New Year. One of my biggest resolutions was/is to re-launch the ministry, ready-or-not (I may or may not have struggled with perfectionism, which delayed the re-launch for far too long. Ok..I DID!).

Soooo….I am excited to say that ready-or-not, I am digging into the New Year with ALL THINGS NEW! I have gazillion things that are NOT done before we re-launch this ministry. The good news is that I am sticking to my commitment to be “back-in-the-game.”

So, today…

We re-launch!

What can you look forward to?

  • Something NEW everyday! Yep! I felt that the Lord was very specific in relaunching. He was just as specific as He settled my fretting heart and spoke the words, “ONE THING A DAY.” So, that is my commitment. It may be something on social media. It may be something here. It may be something live in person. However, I commit to something every single day. Just imagine what will be back in motion at the end of this year!
  • Podcasts! Oh! I am beyond excited about this! We have two podcasts that are being prepared for you this year. Join my email update lists and follow me on my social media. We will have all of the details public very soon. You definitely will NOT want to miss this!
  • NEW and OLD products! We had a really big “hit” 3 years ago. Our site was maliciously hacked. We completely lost most of our websites with their product download pages and membership sites. Talk about a devastating loss! Rather than try to have “everything” up and going for this launch (which is truly a formidable task), we are starting now with some of our oldies that you guys love and we will be launching NEWBIES and bringing back other OLDIES along the way. We have two things we are doing to make this a “sweet” deal for each of you.
    • First, we are offering a fun discount on our products right now. The discount code is ALLTHINGSNEW. Type it in with any order and save 50% of your order of any size. No limits on how many times you use it or the size of your order. You just save!
    • Secondly, the oldies will feature major revamps. They are being updated and expanded. If you purchased them in the past, you will not have to purchase again, but you will receive the updated versions. That is our commitment to serve you in excellence. We love our supporters. You are family. We appreciate that you support us through the years and through whatever comes our way.
  • I am available for your events/shows/coaching needs. We are developing my schedule at this time. If you would like for me to join you, contact me at: cindyrushton@gmail.com with the subject line: SCHEDULE CINDY. We will set it up!

Ready for all things new? Let’s do it! Let’s make this year the very best ever!

Wishing you God’s richest blessings!
Cindy

Decorating For Thanksgiving

Ready for this week? Are you like so many of us and you have been busy today cleaning up and getting ready for the big week? Need some fun and inexpensive ideas for those last touches? Let us help!

Decorating for Thanksgiving adds an element of warmth and fun to your home. The best thing is you don’t have to go overboard or put a lot of time or effort into this. Use a few of the suggestions below, add some fall colored throw pillows or blankets to your couch, light a pumpkin scented candle and your whole house will have that special Thanksgiving feel to it.

Yard Display
Decorate the front yard with a wooden scarecrow, turkey or sign. For a little color, plant a few mums, either in the ground, or in pots and planters.

Mantle Display
The mantle over your fire place is the perfect place to decorate for Thanksgiving . For a simple display, arrange some pumpkins or decorative gourds on the mantle along with a few candles. A fall garland or wreath is a nice touch above the mantle.

Fall Flower Arrangement
Stop by your local florist for some flowers in yellow or orange. Arrange them in a vase along with some greenery.

Pumpkins and Corn
You can make a beautiful fall arrangement by setting out some miniature pumpkins and ears of corn. Look for yellow and purple varieties of corn for an authentic Thanksgiving feel. Scatter them across your dining table, or arrange them in a bowl for a nice centerpiece.

Thanksgiving Wreath
Purchase or make a simple grapevine wreath and decorate it with fall leaves and miniature pumpkins. Add a nice bow and hang it on the front door. A Thanksgiving wreath is a great way to welcome your guests in.

Display Kids Artwork
Not only will your home be beautifully decorated, but you’ll be building your children’s self-esteem at the same time. Buy a few inexpensive frames and set them out or hang them on the wall. This is of course also a great way to display your child’s artwork year round.

The First Thanksgiving
There are quite a few ways to incorporate the first Thanksgiving in your decorations. Create a small scale version of this special occasion by setting out a few figurines of pilgrims and Native Americans. Complete the scene with a small table, some turkeys and miniature trees to show that the first Thanksgiving took place outside.

Melt in Your Mouth Marshmallow Drops

Baking away? Why not make time to whip up some yummy candies? This month all of our recipes are candy recipes. These are super for fun yummies to have for guests who drop in…or for the family to munch out on during movie nights…or even for Christmas gifts on a shoestring. Give these a try. You will love these!

What You Need:

1 (6 oz) pkg. semisweet chocolate pieces
1 (1 oz) square unsweetened chocolate
1 T butter
2 eggs
1 1/4 C confectioners’ sugar
1/2 t salt
1 t vanilla extract
2 C peanuts
2 C miniature marshmallows

How to Make It:

Place the chocolate pieces and the chocolate square into a heavy saucepan.
Place the sauce pan over low heat.
Add the butter and stirring constantly melt the butter and chocolate together until smooth about 4 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and set aside until ready to use.
Place the eggs into a mixing bowl.
Use a fork and beat the eggs until they become frothy.
Pour in the sugar, salt and vanilla extract.
Mix until all the ingredients are incoporated together well.
Pour the melted chocolate into the mixture and stir to incorporate.
Fold in the peanuts and marshmallows.
Cover a baking sheet with wax paper.
Drop the marshmallow mixture onto the wax paper by a teaspoon about 1 in. apart.
Place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until firm.
Store the candy in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Serving Size:  4 dozen

Always use the recommended size and type of pan when making candy.  A pan that is too small or too large can affect the cooking time of the candy.

God has been speaking and unpacking the word, “Positioning” to me this whole past year. He just woke me up with a clear vision of what He is doing right now–not just for me, but also for you.

Dear friends, God wants for you to know that He Is positioning you, your circumstances, your story, your finances, your gifts, your heartbeat, your heart cry, your relationships, your support, your team, your destiny.
