Give Your Children God’s Word FOR THEM!

The image “” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. The Bible is one of the most popular selling books in all of history. It has been translated into more languages than any other book. Even today it is being translated into many different languages for people all over the world to read. The most incredible thing is that the Bible is not being translated into many different translations and versions just for children. Using different translations and versions can assist in teaching kids about the Bible and introducing them to God so they can pursue their own personal relationship with Him.

Please don’t think I am “downing” my Bible growing up. I loved it. It was very, very precious to me. I just remember how tough it was for me to read and study it. I was very bright, but the translation that was used most often during my childhood was the King James Version. As a kid, reading the King James Version was quite hard and frustrating. All of the formal language (thee and thou…shouldst and didst) got in the way and distracted me from the message. [Read more…]

I Think I Am Solar-Powered…. I NEED The Son!!! by Elisabeth Rushton

I have always loved being outside and in the sun! I do not know exactly why, but I do!!

Hot weather. No prob! “The hotter the better” is always my mind-set!

Now getting a sun tan isn’t just about “ME” though. When I am suntanning, I usually do my quiet time, work on articles, read through and do my school work and copywork. I love that time to just have time to meditate on God’s Word and pray (talk) to Him!! Something about that time takes my focus off of the busyness, the pressures, and everything else that life can bring my way…and turns my complete focus upon Jesus. [Read more…]

Go the Distance by Cindy Rushton

The image “” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. Elisabeth and I just began a new Bible study.  Talk about really awesome! This one is going to dig deep! I expect some awesome growth as we dig into it! If you are not plugged into a regular Bible Study, I cannot encourage you enough to get plugged in. We need to be breaking the bread of God’s Word regularly together. We need that accountability and that encouragement from the Body of Christ. Plug in!  You won’t be sorry!

Off my soapbox! hehe!

We were going through our daily study yesterday when something grabbed me away from the study–I have an inclination towards this with ANY study that I pursue! 😀 Of course, this one is GOOD! So good that I just wanted to share it with you. I think you will love it! [Read more…]

How to Become a Christian

The image “” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Wondering How to Become a Christian?

It takes F.A.I.T.H.

Forgiveness… Becoming a Christian is about receiving God’s free gift of forgiveness. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Available…Salvation is available to ALL. The Bible says that “God is not willing that any should perish but everyone come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Impossible for God to allow sin into heaven.
The Bible says that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) and that the penalty of our sins is separation from God (Romans 6:23). God is holy and He cannot allow sin in heaven.

Turn from sin. The Bible word for turn is repent:  “But unless you repent you will also likewise perish” (Luke 13: 3).  It also says, “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).  To repent means that I  make a choice to turn from my sins and turn to Jesus Christ. You do not have the power to remove your sins, but Christ does!

Heaven! Jesus said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am , you may be also” (John 14:3).  Jesus also promised, “I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

FAITH can also mean Forsaking All I Trust Him. Would you like to receive God’s free gift of forgiveness by trusting in Christ right NOW? Simply bow your head and tell God now…He is listening. 🙂

Forgive… by Elisabeth Rushton

Betrayal and hurt. They seem to come in a “bow-wrapped package” that life throws at you.

No matter how young or old you are, you have more than likely known a friend or two to betray you. But how did you handle it? Did you forgive them the second that it happened? Did you go on like nothing ever happened? Or did it take a little more effort?

If you have been really painfully hurt like I’m talking about, [Read more…]
