I was just asked about God and if He was the person behind this virus. He said that “if there is a god he must be laughing about it.” I wrote the following to answer him and feel that someone may need to read this or someone may need this to answer those in their life with the same questions. Here goes. 
Jay, what do you mean by that? If I’m reading this right, you don’t believe in God. Is that true?
If so, you don’t KNOW Him so you cannot discern Him or His ways. Absolutely, there is a God.
If you knew Him, you would know that He’s hardly laughing at this mess. He loves each and every person affected, even if they are not believing in Him. He has great compassion. He is the strength, Hope, and healing for His church. He IS there for those standing in His Word and in His power against this virus and the entire scheme of the enemy.
He’s not moved by this, but He is not sitting high on His throne uncaring. He is right here with His church protecting, comforting, leading, and ministering to each person who is His.
Secondly, not sure who you are saying that is “his” virus. It’s definitely not “God’s virus”. He does not create sin, death, or sickness. He cannot. He is Holy, without sin. He doesn’t just “let” it all happen like an uncaring, unwatchful, neglectful, abusive father. He is watching. He is working. If you are not experiencing it, your eyes are closed and you are merely blinded. The fact that you have breath to breathe is evidence that He has protected your life and your health even without you believing in Him. He is alive and well. He is ever-present.
Jay, this world has two kingdoms at war—God’s and satan’s. Satan is at the helm of this virus. We know that this is his “work” by its fruits and by its spirits that are swirling around with it as it has poured out upon the earth. People may have not been touched by the actual spirit of infirmity and manifested its sickness, but few have not been touched by its legion of accompanying spirits.
With this sickness was unleashed a legion of demonic spirits of infirmity, fear, doubt, unbelief, python, anger, hatred, confusion, deception, quarreling, destruction, frustration, greed, lying, seduction, wickedness, nations deceiving, and most of all, antichrist.
These are not the spirit of the Living God. This spirit of accusation, stealing, oppressing, dividing, killing, and deception is satan’s spirit and the Antichrist’s spirit.
If you do not know Jehovah God, now is your opportunity. It may very well be one of your last opportunities. These are the last days. The signs are all around, including this great deception.
It is easy to come into our kingdom—believe in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved and delivered. This means that you accept the sacrifice He made for your sin. This means you make Him the Lord of your life. This means that you die to everything, including yourself—your way, your will, your feelings about things, your way of thinking about things, your plans—and you live your life for Him.
He died as a sacrifice for your sin, offering to cover it by His blood, and paid the full price so you can be free. You get to decide. However, the time to decide is very short. We are looking for His return any day. You will not be spared from tribulation unless you are a part of His kingdom. Today is your day to decide.
