About the Virus—I have a word for you. Stick with me.
Today I woke up and spent the past two hours just soaking in worship. After sharing these spot-on songs that ministered to my heart and filled me with a solid peace in the midst of my very crazy week (more in it another day), I opened up my Facebook. Some of the very people I admire the most for their abilities to function in the prophetic (meaning to hear God) and healing ministries are all in a “tizzy” about this virus. They are unsettled. This perplexes me since this is a season of Passover and fasting. Why are God’s people getting their news and their “reality” from the news or social media? Why aren’t God’s people fasting, praying, and declaring God’s Word?
We should be a people that know that the seed we carry and could activate by faith. It will be lost and fruitless if we plant in the wrong places. If we are watering our seed of faith (in healthy living or prosperity or relationships) with worldly news or demonic spirits of infirmity and fear then our faith and victory will not be effectual. People of God should know the way the enemy is using media. It’s his platform. It’s his church. You can believe him or you can believe God. You cannot believe both.
Soaking in the spirit of God, I had a completely different word on the state of world affairs.
God is not bringing a virus of fear or infirmity upon you and your home. This is not His work. It is the work of the enemy. The worst part will be the spirit of fear working with this spirit of infirmity that is blowing across the world. Beware. Its a distraction. It’s a counterfeit intended to distract so many miss this beautiful move of the Living God! I call you back there!
God is moving. He is bringing a fire of revival that is very very contagious. More contagious than any virus or fear associated with that virus. This is the great move of revival that has been expected, prayed for, and lived for. It is like a forest fire but instead it is lighting up the tired, weary, hopeless, disappointed, sick, grieving, and broken. It’s burning up everything not of God. It is an overcoming fire. It is a fire that demands full attention. It demands full surrender. It demands that we are intentional to nurture it and pass it on. We are called to be fire starters.
I have a Word for you.
Be careful where you get your news each day. If you get your news from the world in this day and time, you will live in fear, anger, offense, sickness, gossip, and dishonor. You will play small. You will miss the amazing things God is doing…that you are probably supposed to be a part of. You will pull in with fear instead of going forth in faith.
I hear God saying it’s time for Christians to ask HIM what He has to say about their walking talking everyday life. That means whatever your concerns are today-HE has your answer and IS your answer if you will only dare to grasp on to all He has for you, believe without doubt, and unlock it with hope. You can live in victory.
If you want protection from a virus that is the buzz during this time of Passover, today gather your loved ones and place the blood of Christ over your doorposts. Dare to FAST from news and possibly social media. Press in to the Holy Spirit. He’s got you! He wants to burn in you. He wants to burn through you. Come on get close to the fire. BE THE FIRE! ?
