I was literally just thinking that it is our calling as Christians and theologians to look to God’s good design, not to “the way they did it” nor “the way it has been done.”
We should test every thought, every presupposition, matching them up to Jesus Christ—not culture, “Church Fathers,” or even denominational statements and traditions.
We have the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus Christ as our good news. What a privilege!
