Cindy's Speaking Engagements
How was your weekend? Mine was full to overflowing. I am working on my Master’s Degree and this weekend, my reading (and writing) was very very demanding, but so good! As I woke up this morning and evaluated last week and took my plans for this coming week to the Lord, I kept hearing Him speaking to my heart, “Lead Well.”
Oh! Those words!
Oh! I know from the depths of my heart and soul what that means. Over the past few years the Lord has been teaching and instilling in me the importance of leading myself well.
I am my own worst enemy.
Whereas I have an amazing drive that is a wonderful catalyst for pushing through tough obstacles and getting A LOT done, its dark side is that if I don’t lead myself well, I will push myself into the ground.
Whereas I have a passion for the hurting, broken, wounded, lost person, its dark side is that if I don’t lead myself well then I inevitably move into my “helping” or “fixing” mode and forget that being the arms and voice for the Lord is what is really needed.
Whereas my personality is a splendid blend that desires to connect, commune, and journey with others, if I don’t lead myself well then I also forget its dark side that doesn’t like to confront and challenge when that is often the one thing that is needed to truly help.
Whereas I love to work and minister and learn, the darkside is that if I don’t lead myself well then I get into the place that I cannot do any of those things well. I get in the same flurry of activities and to-do’s when I step out there on my own without sitting at His feet first for His way, His priorities, His will, and His plan for my “right now.”
I could go on and on!
The biggie that I am hearing God say this morning, is that leading well means that I never forget my strengths or my shadows. It also means that I intentionally find the “still waters” along the path ahead.
The goal is not the thing that needs to be done. The goal is to draw close to the Lord and bring others along with me to sit before Him.
The goal is not the strategy or the tool. The goal is to use all of the methods and resources to step into the call before us.
The goal is not to build our own monuments, businesses, ministries, or kingdoms for ourselves, but to build the kingdom of God.
This takes leading ourselves well. It means that we know who we are and whose we are. It means that we believe that we can do what He says we can do, but we don’t step out beyond that into what we “want” to do. It means that we have an immovable belief that He is Who He says He is, that He can do what He says He can do, and that He will do it for us! It takes daring to trust Him and do it all the way that He says to do it.
He has a beautiful plan for you and me. I love the passage of Scripture in Jeremiah 29:11 (well and a few more verses beyond that). I think my favorite version of that is from The Message. Here it is:
“I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen. When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.” God’s Decree. I’ll turn things around for you.”
Without exegeting Scripture, I want for you to know that this is a Word for you today. God is WITH YOU. He wants for us to come to HIM. That is the sweet spot where we are to be. He has so much prepared for you and me. It is beautiful. He has a plan.
- A plan that takes good, good care of you.
- A plan that includes the future you have hoped for and SO MUCH MORE!
- A good plan for you turns around and makes sense of all of the things that have ever gone on in your life that have caused you pain, heartache, and struggle.
- A good plan gives you the hope that has been stuffed away.
- A good plan wants to pull out into reality those dreams you barely let cross your mind before you tucked them away.
- A good plan gives you life, purpose, and life purpose. His good plan.
Today, why not join me sitting at His feet. It is where I lead myself. He never fails.
Not sure what this looks like? Well, we have an amazing day ahead!

Let’s do this! Have an amazing day!
There is something about the New Year. We come into the New Year with high expectations. Of course, often we come into the New Year with A LOT of the Old Year.
We turn the calendar right after the busy of the holidays. Our lives come to a screeching halt after the busyness of the holidays. For many of us that makes the January calendar look one of two ways: beautifully quiet (sometimes “log cabin fever” kinda quiet!!) or still on the frantically busy side to recover from the things missed during the holidays.
Either way, it is time to simplify.
One of the most important things for me as I come into January each year is looking at everything, evaluating everything, and setting up my life and schedule so I can be as successful at reaching my goals, resolutions, and dreams as possible. No one else can do this for me. It has to be very, very intentional. It also has be ruthless. I can’t carry everything into every year without scheduling out margin for the new, the great, the purpose-filled, the important.
If I don’t let some things go, I will never do the things that I am called to do. Life will just crowd it all out.
There is always a crisis.
There is always work to be done.
There is always a home to clean.
There is even a purse that could be cleaned!
This month beckons us to pull aside and simplify. Simplify commitments by letting go of the things that are past their season or never were intended to be a part of our schedule. Simplify what we are all about so we can step into our calling. Simplify how we do things so we work smarter not harder. Simplify our day so it is filled with the beauty, wonder, and productivity that God has called us to be all about.
This means that we let go of the things that are vying for that time with our spouse. We make sure that we have enough of ourselves in energy, time, and focus so we give them the very best of ourselves.
This means that we let go of anything that is distracting us from the precious moments with our children so we can impart Jesus and His ways to them, so we can teach them diligently so they are prepared for their life calling, and so we can make precious memories that fill the storehouse of their hearts.
This means that we let go of the things that keep us in a frenzy, distracted, exhausted, overburdened, and weary so we can get and stay healthy spirit, soul, and body and bring the very best of ourselves to the world.
This means that we let go of the good so we can grasp onto the very best and fulfill our calling and life purpose.
Are you there?
I have to admit that I am closer today that I was December 31st. I have simplified. Of course, I am still putting things into position for the New Year. I am still not quiet where I want to be.
What I do know is that the things that are moving forward are exciting. They fill me up. They don’t just drain me. They don’t give me that gnawing feeling that I am not getting around to the most important things. Do you know that feeling?
Do the work. I promise it will be worth it.

Learning To Lean On The Lord In Your Business
With Lynette Chandler
Is God involved in your business? I mean not your life. I truly mean your business. For the longest time, that was me. I was a Christian who happens to be an entrepreneur. God worked in every aspect of life except in business. There, I’m ashamed to admit, I felt God had little to say other than dishonest scales, do everything unto the Lord that sort of thing. Once I stepped down as CEO and invited Him into that role, things changed in an unbelievable way. This isn’t about raking in the money and using God as a genie. Far from it. Join me as I share my experience on how to lean on God in my business to grow it, myself, and more importantly, His Kingdom.

Marked your calendar? I hope so!
I am taking massive action this year. I want you there alongside me as we do big things!
This year is not like others….unless you let it be.
The best way to get unstuck is to hang with people who are doing what you want to do with your life or who are doing things how you want to do things. You are a mighty vessel. You have a beautiful calling on your life. Let’s step up and step out this year!
See ya online (LIVE!)!
Hope that your week is going GREAT!
Today is a big day! We have a fun LIVE session planned tonight to launch our Jumpstart 2020 Challenge. Are you ready for big things? Stick with me and I will give you the details. For now, I want to share my heart….
I love that we are doing this challenge this month. I have been super retrospect and introspective this week. It is probably partly because of the New Year and new decade. Of course, it is also probably because of prepping for this amazing challenge. I am taking massive action this week. It has demanded that I cut out some things. It has also demanded that I really watch my time and my things to do. It has required that I do some things that are not a part of my daily routine yet. In all, it has demanded that I simply be intentional.
So, how about being intentional with me?
Let’s get intentional!
Grab a big cup of tea. Take out your calendar. What is there?
If there is nothing, hold tight. 🙂
For many of us, our calendar looks like our purses—full of things that we think we need, full of things that we keep just in case we need them, full of things we carry for others, full of things for the hubby, kids, or job, full of things that we forget, and at the bottom of everything, the things that we want and cannot forget.
Look at every thing on the calendar. Go through it taking off everything that is not working toward your goals, resolutions, and life purpose. Definitely take off those things that you are doing just because you think you HAVE TO. Take off those things that no longer fit. Take off those things that are a burden and can be done in a much easier way.
I know that this is so hard, however the goal is to be intentional about this new year. We cannot be truly intentional when we are distracted or when we crowd out the things that really matter to us. If you are super scared to be ruthless, put those things on a list. If there is room at the end of the day after everything else is done, then definitely pull them back out. If not, give yourself permission to let them go! Deal?
The next thing is to go through the calendar and block out time for what really matters. Block out time to prepare for that (I prep the day before so I have NO excuses.). Block out time so you are not rushed.
Now, sit back. Look at it. How does that calendar look to you? How does it feel?
I am sure it is scary for some of you.
I am sure it is exciting.
I am sure it feels risky.
I am sure it feels like “home.”
Bottom line…I am sure it feels intentional.
You are pioneering your life. No one has gone before you to pave the path. You only get to do it once. You only get one chance to do it well.
Do it big.
Do it purposeful.
Do it intentional!
By the way!
We have a fun LIVE session planned tonight to launch our Jumpstart 2020 Challenge.

Ready to do this?
I AM! I can’t wait to SEE your sweet faces. Pull out the web cam. It is only ONE hour. One hour that can help Jumpstart your 2020!!
Do you set resolutions for the New Year?
Call me a sappy traditionalist, but I always set resolutions each New Year. I have recently added seeking God for a “word” for the New Year and asking for a prophetic word as well.
Last year’s word for the year was SO on target! I felt that God was impressing upon me to make the word “change” as my word last year. I heard Him speak to my heart that people look for change in so many places that tend to fail them. He wanted for me to press in and let HIM radically bring change for me. I heard Him speak to my heart that the end of 2019 would look nothing like the beginning and that he was going to transform every area of my life. Boy, did He!
The year did not end before my amazing boyfriend proposed to me. I was barely moving into the New Year when I was blessed with a job working at home so I could leave my corporate job. I finished my Bachelor’s Degree and began grad school. God opened doors for me to get back into my business and ministry.
Truly NOTHING looked the same by the end of 2019.
As I began to seek God for resolutions, plans, a word, and a prophetic word for 2020, God was not done with “change.” He began to move on my heart about “stretching myself.” That began in a coaching program, but went beyond that challenge. It got deep inside of me. I felt that God wanted for me to ask the hard question—am I stretching myself or staying in my comfort zone?
There is something about staying comfortable. For one thing, it keeps us stuck. I don’t know about you, but I am exasperated with things that keep me stuck. In addition, it plays small. It stays small. It is the enemy of doing big things!
None of us are called to the comfort zone.
Stretching may not always feel good. It is definitely not easy. Even the definition infers that when stretched there is extension, increased capacity, and a shaping. It requires adapting. It requires pressing beyond current lids and limitations. It requires maximizing talents, abilities, resources, and connections.
Having a word like that going into the New Year inspires me on one hand and completely makes me tremble on the other hand. I am excited to press into NEW. I am also excited to step out and step up in areas that have long been neglected or awaiting the fullness of time. My trepidation is simply my own insecurities, fears, and lack. I know that when I bring my weakness to the cross, God always takes that offering and does mighty exploits. This year will be the same!
As we move into 2020, I have heard another thing. I keep hearing the words, JUMPSTART 2020!
I was working on all of the things to do on my big, long list. As I talked with my dear friend, Felice Gerwitz, we came up with a great way to jumpstart the New Year.
She is planning an amazing conference in Tampa, FL the first week of February (learn more about it here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ultimate-christian-communicators-conference-tickets-525123659?discount=50off). I will be teaching three sessions and hosting some group coaching too. We were already jazzed about that, but we were talking about getting ready for it. I wanted some friends to join me in a challenge so we can jumpstart the New Year. Well, we are doing that AND…opening it up to all of our friends!
We are offering a challenge that will offer live sessions that you can join live from home. We decided to step that up by offering replays, a guide to come alongside of everyone to really flesh out plans for the new year, and a little fun challenge to earn prizes as everything is done. You won’t want to miss it! Well, learn more here:
We kick off our first session Thursday night live. I will send more info about that, just save Thursday night at 8PM ET on your calendar.
And, that is not all! If you are just looking for mom-to-mom encouragement, this is still your spot. Don’t leave. I will release more info on other things that are in the works. For now, hop over to our community and share what you are doing to stretch this New Year. You can join us here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SteppingUpToYourCall/. I will be hopping in after I send this email. 🙂
Well, I know this is longer than I anticipated when I started. I want to thank you for being YOU. I am so thankful. Your friendship through the years is priceless to me. I am expecting big things this year. I am so grateful that you are doing life with me!
Have an amazing day!
Don’t forget to connect! It is going to be so good!
I pray that your holiday season was simply spectacular! I am fresh off of my vacation. I was blessed with PTO time AND time out of school. I took my last final and headed south to Florida to enjoy the holidays with my grands…oh, and children. 🙂
During the holidays, I not only made a lot of fun memories, but I also geared up for this New Year. One of my biggest resolutions was/is to re-launch the ministry, ready-or-not (I may or may not have struggled with perfectionism, which delayed the re-launch for far too long. Ok..I DID!).
Soooo….I am excited to say that ready-or-not, I am digging into the New Year with ALL THINGS NEW! I have gazillion things that are NOT done before we re-launch this ministry. The good news is that I am sticking to my commitment to be “back-in-the-game.”
What can you look forward to?
- Something NEW everyday! Yep! I felt that the Lord was very specific in relaunching. He was just as specific as He settled my fretting heart and spoke the words, “ONE THING A DAY.” So, that is my commitment. It may be something on social media. It may be something here. It may be something live in person. However, I commit to something every single day. Just imagine what will be back in motion at the end of this year!
- Podcasts! Oh! I am beyond excited about this! We have two podcasts that are being prepared for you this year. Join my email update lists and follow me on my social media. We will have all of the details public very soon. You definitely will NOT want to miss this!
- NEW and OLD products! We had a really big “hit” 3 years ago. Our site was maliciously hacked. We completely lost most of our websites with their product download pages and membership sites. Talk about a devastating loss! Rather than try to have “everything” up and going for this launch (which is truly a formidable task), we are starting now with some of our oldies that you guys love and we will be launching NEWBIES and bringing back other OLDIES along the way. We have two things we are doing to make this a “sweet” deal for each of you.
- First, we are offering a fun discount on our products right now. The discount code is ALLTHINGSNEW. Type it in with any order and save 50% of your order of any size. No limits on how many times you use it or the size of your order. You just save!
- Secondly, the oldies will feature major revamps. They are being updated and expanded. If you purchased them in the past, you will not have to purchase again, but you will receive the updated versions. That is our commitment to serve you in excellence. We love our supporters. You are family. We appreciate that you support us through the years and through whatever comes our way.
- I am available for your events/shows/coaching needs. We are developing my schedule at this time. If you would like for me to join you, contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: SCHEDULE CINDY. We will set it up!
Ready for all things new? Let’s do it! Let’s make this year the very best ever!
Wishing you God’s richest blessings!
